Relevant Experience

Six years as principal of Change & Perform

Five years in Internal consulting positions with the Sydney Water Board

Kerry assisted the board in the transition from a public service bureaucracy to a fully corporatised entity. 

Duties included:

·         Corporate planning

·         Business planning

·         Assisted in organisational re-design and re-positioning of branches to compete with the private sector

  • Development of Commercialisation Strategies and Cultural Change programs

·         Design of Senior Management Performance Agreements

Six years, lecturing (part-time) at University of Technology, Sydney

Lectured in Organisational Behaviour to post –graduate students and Corporate Strategy to undergraduates.

 

Two years with National Industries Extension Service (NIES)

NIES was jointly funded by the Commonwealth and NSW Governments and committed to the vision of an Australian world competitive manufacturing sector. NIES assisted small to medium enterprises by subsidising private sector management consultancies. Kerry:

·         Managed the Monitoring and Evaluation Department, ensuring both that clients got value for money from their consultants and that the consulting advice given was consistent with the Government's reform agenda.

  • Promoted reforms in manufacturing management
  • Represented NIES(NSW) before a Senate Select Committee investigating implementation of government reforms

Nine years as a Chief Chemist and /or Quality Assurance Manager in the Printed Circuit Industry

Kerry reported directly to the CEO. and had control over up to 10 quality assurance staff and two laboratory staff and 'dotted line' control over up to 100 factory staff. As a member of the Senior Management Team, she had prime responsibility for liaising with clients and suppliers on quality and technical matters and for interacting with the CEO and marketing and production managers to ensure that client requirements were met by the production process.

Five years as Chief Chemist of the Minerals Division of Steetley Australasia

Kerry ran a NATA registered laboratory which provided Quality Control of the Company's Mineral products and delivered Public Analytical Services. She had nine laboratory staff, ranging from qualified chemists to laboratory assistants. In the quality control role, she liaised with production management, factory staff and clients on quality matters. As Manager of Assaylabs (the Public Analytical Service), she dealt directly with clients as they responded to advertising, quoted and managed the service delivery and billing processes.

Kerry has had management articles published in Engineers Australia, HR Monthly, Management Magazine, The Institute of Municipal Management Bulletin and Business Sydney.

She can provide excellent referees for her expertise as an organizational change management consultant.
